Ausgehend vom geometrischen Raster der Kassettendecke entwickelt die Installation aus Papier eine raumgreifende Struktur, die die architektonische Ordnung des Ortes aufnimmt und in eine skulpturale Form überführt. Der Kontrast zwischen der fragilen Materialität des Papiers und der tektonisch wirkenden Form erzeugt eine Ambivalenz, in der sich Leichtigkeit und Schwere, Instabilität und konstruktive Präsenz wechselseitig überlagern. |

Taking the geometric grid of the coffered ceiling as its point of departure, the paper installation unfolds into a spatial structure that translates the architectural order of the site into sculptural form. The tension between the fragile materiality of paper and the work's tectonic appearance creates an ambiguity in which lightness and weight, instability and structural presence, continuously intersect and redefine one another.

„fragil" – ein interdisziplinäres Kunstprojekt des BBK Leipzig, bei dem bildende Künstler:innen mit Komponist:innen und Musiker:innen der Digitalen Klangkunst zusammenarbeiten. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, wie gesellschaftliche und persönliche Fragilität – brüchige Werte, Kipppunkte, Bruchlinien – künstlerisch sichtbar und hörbar gemacht werden kann.

Spendenerlöse fließen in die Anschaffung von Sheltersuits – wetterfester Schutzkleidung für obdachlose Menschen in Leipzig. | 

“fragil” – an interdisciplinary art project by BBK Leipzig in which visual artists collaborate with composers and musicians specializing in digital sound art. The project focuses on the question of how social and personal fragility—fragile values, tipping points, fault lines—can be made visible and audible through art.

Proceeds from donations will go toward the purchase of Sheltersuits—weatherproof protective clothing for homeless people in Leipzig.
