The starting point for the installation—made of folded and glued recycled paper—is a radial base form that is duplicated, rotated, and nested within one another. The interpenetration of the forms creates a complex structure of surfaces, edges, and interstices that oscillates between constructive order and a fragile, almost organic appearance.

In collaboration with composer Diana Čemerytė, an independent composition for accordion, violin, clarinet, and bass clarinet developed in parallel with the installation. The four instruments take up the principle of the four interpenetrating basic forms; their melodic lines translate the forms’ spatial movement into a musical structure. Paper functions as a fifth instrument in this context: rustling, crackling, folding, and tearing directly link material and sound. Thus, the installation and the composition meet as two independent works that have emerged from the same idea of multiplication, interpenetration, and spatial expansion.
