Mit der ersten Faltung eines Blattes greift das Papier sofort und unumkehrbar in den Raum ein: Es wird dreidimensional. Sich überschneidende Brüche im Papier verändern die Neigungen der Oberflächen zueinander und lassen das Licht an jeder Kante brechen. In Abhängigkeit zur Tagesbeleuchtung verändert sich das Erscheinungsbild in dem Maße, dass einmal mehr die vertikalen, diagonalen oder horizontalen Linien und Brüche in Erscheinung treten. |
With the first fold of a sheet, the paper immediately and irreversibly intervenes in space: it becomes three-dimensional. Overlapping breaks in the paper change the inclinations of the surfaces in relation to each other and allow the light to refract on each edge. Depending on the daylight, its appearance changes to the extent that the vertical, diagonal or horizontal lines and breaks appear more clearly.
